West Windsor Arts Council Announces Line Up for "And the Beat Goes On" FREE Summer Music Series 2015 at Nassau Park Pavilion

Princeton Junction, NJ June 8, 2015: The West Windsor Arts Council invites the community to celebrate summer 2015 with its annual concert series featuring local and regional artists spanning the musical spectrum - from Brazilian jazz and the blues to "newgrass" and folk pop (details about each act below). 
 
Concerts are scheduled on select Saturdays from June thru August, 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Nassau Park Pavilion (Nassau Park Shopping Center off of Route 1, located between Target and Panera Bread).  Free and open to the public - BYO-picnic dinner and chair encouraged:
 
June 27:    MINOS TRIO (Brazilian Jazz)
July 18:    THE DUKES OF DESTINY (Blues)
August 1:    TIE DYE HILLBILLY DANCE PARTY (Newgrass)
August 15:    SARAH DONNER (Folk Pop)

ABOUT EACH ARTIST:
Minas Trio:

With original music and a collection of over 100 songs, Minas Trio uses Brazilian and American roots to create a sound that is fresh and innovative.  Audiences enjoy timeless and engaging performances that range from from ballads to folk with Bossa Nova pulse, upbeat Sambas with instrumental jazz improvisation, scat singing and whimsical whistling. 

 
Dukes of Destiny: 
Calling Philadelphia home, the Dukes of Destiny have been entertaining fans of the blues for more than 28 years. With a mix of their own arrangements of obscure blues standards and powerful original songs, the Dukes continue to grow, develop and inspire their fans. 
Appearing at top music festivals including the River Blues Festivals at Penn's Landing, Philadelphia Blues Machine, the YO Philadelphia Festival, the Pocono Blues Festival and, most recently as the back up band for Terry Evans at TRAMMPS, NYC and the Penn State Festival of the Arts. Tie Dye Hillbilly Dance Party:
Hailing from New Hope, PA, the Tie Dye Hillbilly Dance Party stays true to their name and offers traditional, newgrass and jam-band inspired bluegrass guaranteeing that audiences will "leave your seat and move your feet." Fiddle (Larry Wohl), madolin (Mike Sumichrast), bass (David Haneman), guitar (Rob Chesbro) and banjo (Bob Sutor) make up this party taking inspiration from Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Grateful Dead, Hot Rize and In the Way. Sarah Donner:
A "weblebrity," locally based in Princeton, NJ, Sarah Donner is an indie folkpop artist with five studio album releases and a YouTube sensation with over two million views of her videos. Donner is known for her powerful vocals, energetic instrumentals and playful on-stage presence. Her music has been featured on Conan O'Brien's blog, NPR, Showtime, and CBS News.
