The Junior League Invites the Princeton Area Community to The Artful Palate: A showcase of art, wine, cheese and chocolate November 11, 2011

The Junior League of Greater Princeton announced today that their annual fundraiser, The Artful Palate: an evening of art, wine, cheese and chocolate will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 from 7 – 10 PM at the Trenton Country Club.

Attendees will enjoy an elegant soirée of wine, cheese, and chocolate tastings, followed by a live art auction featuring local artists.

Tickets are $50 and offer attendees unlimited wine tasting, attendance to the live art auction, samples of cheese and chocolate from local merchants, and a wine tasting keepsake.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.jlgp.org - quantities are limited so guests are encouraged to purchase early.

“We designed the event so people will leave with a good taste in their mouth – whether it’s for chocolate, wine, cheese, art, or other passions such as golf or beauty. In addition, they can feel good that they are supporting the community,” said Anne Reilly, the event Chairperson.

A variety of wineries, artists, and merchants will showcase throughout the event, including Bon Appétit and Thomas Sweet of Princeton, ComfortFood of Morrisville, PA and The Painted Truffle of Stockton, NJ.

Guests will enjoy a live art auction with professional Auctioneer featuring works by a variety of artists including: husband and wife team Thomas and Connie Bonner, Sue Green, Robert Holb, David Rivera, and Miriam Warfield, as well as works from the Farnsworth Gallery, Bordentown, NJ.  Original art created by local children and life style gifts including golf for 4 at the Yardley Country Club, Kelsey Theatre tickets and Cooking Lessons for a party of 6 by Chef Kim Quay will also be available by auction.  There’s something for everyone!

“Proceeds from the event will support the JLGP - ROCKETS program (Raising Our Children’s Knowledge by Educating Through Science) as well as its Community Projects and Grants & Scholarships programs,” said JLGP President Cheri Durst. “We welcome everyone to what will be a fun night out.”
