(Princeton, NJ, April 2010) – For the last 5 years, Lisa and Scott Ruddy have been operating an Original SoupMan franchise out of a jewel boxed sized store front on Palmer Square East.  
 
But on April 13, after a month of renovations were complete, their new store emerged: The Princeton Soup & Sandwich Company.
 
“We had a good experience operating an Original SoupMan, but when the corporation presented with us with an opportunity to breakaway, it’s seemed right for us,” explains owner Lisa Ruddy.”  “We now have the ability to be more creative, not only with the menu, but with pricing.  Our hope is that customers will be pleased with the new prices.”

While gourmet Soup will continue to be the star at their newly conceptualized eatery, a wide array of items, daily specials and combo meals will be available -- Sandwiches and Salads, both signature creations and “Build your Own,” Fries, Smoothies, even Vienna brand 100% Beef Frankfurters, which is an item they’ve tested with great response.
 
“We enjoy having the Ruddy’s as tenants and support their new venture,” says David Newton, Vice President of Palmer Square Management.  “Not to mention I am honored that they named a hot dog after me; the Newton Dog is a kosher turkey dog, with avocados, tomatoes and pickles.”
