Princeton Region’s Favorite Bagel Spots
New Jersey and bagels go together like cereal & milk, like peas & carrots… like bagels & cream cheese. We asked our followers… and here are some of their favorite bagel spots.
Bagel Barn & Deli
1225 State Rd, Princeton, NJ
Bagel Barn offers a variety of traditional “New York” style bagels, made from scratch, hand rolled and baked daily. Varieties include: Plain, Poppy, Sesame, Egg, Garlic, Onion, Salt, Whole Wheat, Everything, Whole Wheat Everything, Rye, Pumpernickel & Blueberry. They also offer specialty bagels: cinnamon raisin, sugar cinnamon raisin, french toast, power high fiber and bialey. There is a large list of cream cheeses: plain, low fat, veggie, low-fat veggie, scallion, strawberry, cinnamon raisin walnut, garlic herb, lox, jalapeno, olive & pimento, garlic & herb and more.
The Bagel Barn also offers a list of breakfast sandwiches, egg platters, omelets, as well as add ons like tomato, meat, peppers and sides like bacon, sausage, pork roll, home fries and steak fries. You can eat-in, take out, and call your order in ahead.
Bagel Hole
64 Princeton Hightstown Rd, West Windsor Township, NJ
The Bagel Hole is local bagel joint and is a cash-only establishment. People seem to enjoy the steak egg and cheese sandwich if you aren’t into bacon and pork. Reviewers online seem to enjoy their Veggiemeister bagel that has “perfect pockets of tiny diced vegetables inside, adding a little savory crunch to every bite” and the Sourdough that is “soft like a perfect bagel.” While the shop may be small, they offer seating inside and outside.
Bagel Street Grill
Princeton Meadows Shopping Center, 660 Plainsboro Road, Plainsboro NJ
Although it is named Bagel Street Grill — they serve so much more. Bagels, Sandwiches, Omelettes, French Toast and more. Bagel Street Grill offers a large menu, available to order online. Their bagels includes: Plain, Jalapeño Cheddar, Everything, Cinnamon Raisin, Whole Wheat, Sesame, Multigrain, Egg, Blueberry, Poppy Seed, Onion, Rye, Pumpernickel, Chocolate Chip, French Toast, Asiago Salt, and Garlic. There is recent new ownership. Bagel Street Grill offers delivery within a 5 mile radius and a $25 minimum.
The Bagel Place
10 Schalks Crossing Rd #15, Plainsboro Township, NJ
The Bagel Place is a family-run business, offering breakfast and lunch with a wide variety of bagel options with spreads like butter, veggie cream cheese, walnut raisin cream cheese, a lox spread and more. They also have sandwich options— including traditional Egg Sandwiches, Cold Sandwiches (like Italian Tuna, NY Style Pastrami and more), Hot Sandwiches (New Yorker, RB & Cheese and Pulled Pork), Hot Panini, Club Sandwiches and more.
Udo’s
160 Lawrenceville Pennington Rd #17, Trenton, NJ
Udos’ offers a large variety of bagels. The classics — as well as a few different ones including spinach, bacon cheddar, cranberry, sundried tomato and cheddar jack. The cream cheese are sold by the 1/2 lb. in a list of “sweet” (strawberry, chocolate chip, cinnamon walnut raisin, PB chocolate chip) and “savory” (vegetable, scallion, olive pimiento, lox, artichoke and more). They also have Bagel spreads — as well as lunch sandwiches on the choice of a bagel, bread, roll or wrap.
Bagel Nosh

The Bagel Nosh has bagels & “flagels” sold individually or by the Bakers Dozen. They have cream cheese spreads, as well. There’s a long list of signature sandwiches that are served on a bagel, roll, sub, wrap or sliced bread. Some include the Turkey Booty (turkey, provolone, bacon, lettuce and mayo), Sweet Windsor (honey turkey, muenster, avocado and honey mustard and Z-Zoo (chicken cutlet, mozzarella, bacon, onion rings, gravy & garlic spread), to name just a few.
Caesar’s Bagels & Deli
110 Flock Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ
Caesars Bagels has breakfast sandwiches, egg platters, omelets and side orders. Bagels and spreads are here — as are a list of breakfast sandwiches that include two eggs, along with a choice of meats like pork roll, ham, sausage, bacon, steak, turkey bacon and sausage. You can get sandwiches like West Eggs (ham, peppers and onion) and the Belly Buster (pork roll, bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheese, hot sauce and ketchup). They also have omelets, cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches.
