5 Restaurants Serving A Thanksgiving Feast this Holiday Rat's Restaurant -- the charming restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture, named for a character in The Wind and the Willows -- serves a traditional Thanksgiving feast prepared with ingredients from regional growers and farms.

This Thanksgiving skip the kitchen and opt to eat a delicious meal at one of these five area restaurants that are all open and serving both classic Thanksgiving feasts, as well as other options.

 

Nassau Inn – Princeton

Celebrate Thanksgiving at the historic Nassau Inn with a buffet in the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. Seatings are at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 pm, and 4pm.

The menu includes Roast Turkey with cranberry relish; Cheese Tortellini with Marsala Cream and Peas; Seared Salmon with Tomato Beurre Blanc, Chiffonade of Basil; Beef Tips with Cream Gravy and Mushrooms. There is also Omelets (made to order) at the morning seating and a Carving Station with Slow Roast Bone-In Smoked Ham at the afternoon seatings. Side Dishes include whipped potatoes, french beans with portable mushrooms and red pepper, corn bread stuffing and candied sweet potatoes. There are also salads, as well as fruit, cheeses & breads. Dessert consists of Pumpkin and Apple Pie and assorted mini pastries. Cost is $38 for adults; $19 for kids 3–12; free for kids under 3. For reservations call 609-688-2600.

 

Peacock Inn — Princeton

The Peacock Inn’s Thanksgiving Dinner offers a special menu with soup & salad, appetizers, an entree and dessert. Soup & salad include: Falldorf Salad with roasted chestnuts, blistered grapes, persimmon vinaigrette; Field Greens Salad with shaved fennel and carrots, tarragon vinaigrette; Potato & Leek Soup with black truffle oil and Roasted Pear & Parsnip Soup with sage oil.

Appetizers include Wild White Shrimp, Petit Cassoulet, Wild Burgundy Snails and Bucheron Cheese. The menu showcases Traditional Turkey, Beef Tenderloin, Sautéed Salmon and Stuffed Cabbage for entrees. Guests can finish off with a dessert of Apple Beignets, Pumpkin Cheesecake Tartlet or Chocolate Souffle.

Rat's Restaurant – Hamilton

The charming restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture, named for a character in The Wind and the Willows, serves a traditional Thanksgiving feast prepared with ingredients from regional growers and farms. Enjoy an appetizer buffet, and then select an entree (turkey, prime rib, or salmon) for your seated meal. Rat’s also showcases a delicious dessert buffet! Rates are $62 for adults; $24 for kids 5-11. Witherspoon Grill - Princeton

The Witherspoon Grill is hosting an a la carte Thanksgiving feast with starters including Butternut Squash Soup, Harvest Salad; as well as Roast Turkey with sausage & herb stuffing, mashed potato and cranberry sauce; Filet Mignon, with mashed sweet potatoes and veal demi-glaze; Salmon, Farro, spinach, shallots, garlic & tomatoes with tarragon mustard glaze; Pork Chop with drunken apples & mashed Yukon gold potatoes; Squash Ravioli with lore fresh pumpkin ravioli with swiss chard, butternut squash shallots & sage buerre blanc with crushed toasted walnuts. There are also sides like roasted carrots, mashed Yukon potatoes, brussel sprouts and more. Desserts include: Pumpkin Pie a la Mode, Warm Apple Walnut Pie a la Mode, New York Cheesecake, Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake, Flourless chocolate cake, Fresh Fruit, Ice Cream or Sorbet. A Children’s’ Menu includes turkey, mac & cheese or pasta with marinara.

 

The Sergeantsville Inn — Sergeantsville

The Sergeantsville Inn is hosting Thanksgiving dinner. Appetizers include: Wild Mushroom Risotto; Smoked Salmon Plate; Filet Meatball or Caesar Salad. Entrees including Thanksgiving Turkey with organic sliced turkey breast presented in mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, stuffing, vegetable saute and pan gravy; Grass Fed Beef Hanger Steak (pasture raised, non-GMO) sliced hanger steak with pomme frittes, sautéed spinach and caramelized shallot demi-glaze; New Zealand Rack of lamb (pasture raised, non-GMO) rubbed with mustard and tarragon, encrusted with seasoned bread crumb, presented with herb roasted fingerling potatoes, asparagus and a rosemary pinot noir demi-glaze; Poached Faroe Island Salmon with roasted garlic and green onion risotto, wilted spinach and a white wine-lemon beurre blanc. All entrees include soup or dinner salad, as well as coffee/tea and soft drinks. The cost is $52/pp. A Children’s Menu includes Thanksgiving Turkey, Cheeseburger or Chicken Fingers.
