Watching over your house
It is amazing how quickly children grow and lately it seems like a whole new posse has suddenly become teens over night, going on outings with friends, trick or treating without parents and suddenly with full weekend calendars. Which reminds me yet again of why it is so wonderful that we have Corner House in town. Corner House was established 36 years ago as a non-profit counseling center for teens and their families who are dealing with substance abuse and family crisis issues. Their treament and prevention programs are open to the entire community, and no one is ever turned away because they are unable to pay for services.
This Friday night you have the chance to show your support for the safety net they provide by attending their 3rd Annual Autumn Nights event at Princeton University's Ivy Club. Hors d'oeuvres, refreshments and desserts will be served and you will not only be supporting their efforts, you will also get the chance to be behind the ivy walls and spend an evening at one of the University's eating clubs. Always a fun and a welcome change of scene.
A fall evening on campus supporting a good cause. Warms your heart it does.
