Random Scoop -- Toy Joy

Toy Stores. Pure Joy. Color everywhere, ceiling to floor, buckets of treats, small toys that wind up, spit out sparks or can be squished to pick up newspaper print.

A great toy, one that makes the heart soar, doesn't have to be huge; it just has to hit that excitement button on the inside.

Sophie's birthday is coming up. She's turning 9. It gets a little harder to find small toys for 9 year olds that have that magic. And we all want to give a little magic.

I think I found it though. I watched the toy store owner give it a test run. I watched the young hip sales guy do some tricks, followed by a debate between the two on which version was better.

This is it. Look no further.

The light-up Astrojax. This toy takes the concept of a yo-yo to a whole new level. They're completely mesmerizing. First came regular, then light-up and now the new aqua Astrojax is out. Jazams has them all. But light-up is best, right? I guess Sophie will let me know.
