Talent comes in all shapes and forms and when we learned that Dawn McClatchy (who designed the Arts Council Pinot to Picasso party this past Spring), was opening her own floral design business, we knew it would 'wow'. Whether fresh cut flowers, containers or dried arrangements, she creates unexpected pieces that make the space. Peasant feathers, white pumpkins and potato riddles have all found their way into an arrangement from A New Leaf.

If you are planning to have a Fall party or host Thanksgiving this year, consider given Dawn a call. And in the meantime, if you have been searching for white pumpkins and perfect, massive sunflowers (and I do mean perfect) to give your house a wee seasonal pick me up, head to the Drakes farm stand on 518. Five sunflowers for $4 and dozens of white pumpkins to pop on your porch.

Fall. It may be raining and chilly outside, but with these little shots of indulgence you'll feel the glow of Indian Summer for a while yet.
