Paint me a Rainbow

In our house we love rainbow weather. So much so that often you will see us standing in the pouring rain waiting and hoping for a rainbow to grace our fields.

It seems to me that the open land around the Sourlands is the perfect canvas for rainbows. In fact a double rainbow graced the Hopewell Valley just this week. Now if only someone had been there to paint it.

Luckily this weekend the Friends of Princeton Open Space invite you to 'Preserve with Paint'. Plein air painters will come to the Mountain Lakes Preserve in the center of Princeton to capture the beauty of our lakes, woods and fields on canvas.

Chances of there being another rainbow to paint that day are slim, but there will be wine, music, hors d'ouevres, auction and a chance to support keeping the land around us open. And the best part? Not only can you watch the paintings come to life, you can bring your kids.
