The Pediatric Group Accepts Insurance

The Pediatric Group Press Release:

Respected Pediatrician's Office Set to Accept Health Insurance

Princeton, NJ, January 1, 2011 --  The Pediatric Group on Mt. Lucas Rd. in Princeton, established in 1955,  announced recently that they will now be accepting all major health insurance plans.  The group is committed to continuing to offer the highest-quality care for children, adolescents and young adults from birth to age 22 years.  The group has been a mainstay in Princeton and plans to remain small and accessible.

Louis Tesoro, MD, a senior member of The Pediatric Group, and in his 22nd year at the group states that "Our practice is guided by a commitment to offering pediatric service that is compassionate, accessible and reliable.  Although we realize that health insurance may put some constraints on us, we plan to maintain our priorities as a practice.  We feel that the positives of being available to more people far outweigh the negatives."  In fact, the group has always offered a doctor’s call-in hour every morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and will continue to do so.

The Pediatric Group is private and physician owned: many of the physicians have been at the practice for more than 20 years.  The most senior member and president, John Cotton, MD, joined the group in 1978.  He spoke freely about the upcoming change.  "With the economy the way it is, this has been a difficult time for many of my patients.  I'm thrilled to be able to welcome new patients while still serving the needs of our loyal families.  Change is difficult, but the strong commitment that our physicians and staff have to helping our patients will allow for a smooth transition."  The newest member, Dr. Paula Zollner, who joined the group las year after having been in solo practice, echoes Dr. Cotton's feelings.  "In my 15 years of experience, I haven't come across a practice that is so dedicated to patient service.  We put the patient first.  Period.  This attitude will get us through the upcoming transition."

Another change at the practice is that they will be accepting credit cards.  "It's all about assessing how we can be more convenient to the modern family," says Dr. Helen Rose.  She knows how important having easy access to the pediatrician is, being a mother of four young children herself.   "We have also focused on providing a more readable and patient friendly website,” she adds.  The website address is www.pedgroup.com.

What will the future hold for The Pediatric Group?  Certainly "excellent patient care, that's a given" says Dr. Timothy Patrick-Miller, with the group since 1985, when asked about where he sees his group in the  future.  And what does he say about being a pediatrician?  "Learning together, with smiling babies that sleep, happy parents that care, laughing children that listen and thoughtful teens that talk. I look at life as a process to nurture and enjoy. Life is a gift." That seems to sum it all up.
