Organic Pizza Preview - A Delicious Evening Featuring a Taste of What's to Come at Lambertville's Newest Organic Market

Chef Christopher Georgett of Basil Bandwagon Natural Market is creating a delicious all-organic Neapolitan pizza when he steps in as guest pizzaiolo at Liberty Hall Pizza in Lambertville on Tuesday, April 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. Chef Georgett will be treating guests to "The Southwestern Pie," which consists of homemade enchilada sauce, pepper jack cheese, Basil Bandwagon's award-winning black bean burger crumble, cilantro, tomatoes, and avocado aioli.

 

Chef Georgett was born in Boonton, NJ and graduated from the esteemed Culinary Institute of America in 1981. In 1994 he moved to Batavia, IL, a suburb of Chicago, with his wife, Rosemary, and two children where they lived for 15 years. During this time, Chris started and operated Christopher's Personal Chef Service, and continued to run the business for a few years after moving back to East Amwell, NJ. He met owner Ralph Celebre and has been the chef at Basil Bandwagon since the summer of 2014.

 

This year marks Basil Bandwagon's 26th anniversary. The natural market and café has locations in Clinton and Flemington, NJ, with a new store opening later this spring in Lambertville just steps away from Liberty Hall Pizza. "Our mission is to feed and nurture families and individuals by placing truly nutritious, sustaining foods, herbs, and supplements in their hands, at affordable prices. We stock our store with products that are healthy for the planet, as well as the person," explained Georgett. "We're really excited about Basil Bandwagon opening practically right next door to us, " said Liberty Hall's Chris Bryan. "This is a great opportunity to welcome them to the neighborhood!"

 

The entire Liberty Hall Pizza menu will also be available along with the guest chef's pizza for all Guest Pizzaiolo events, which take place approximately once a month.

 

Opened in December 2014, Liberty Hall Pizza was named one of "America's Favorite Neighborhood Restaurants" by Bon Appétitmagazine; "one of the top 25 pizzerias in New Jersey" by Peter Genovese on NJ.com; the best pizzeria in Hunterdon County; and has been listed as the 12th best restaurant in the state. It was also recently featured in Condé Nast Traveler. The authentic Neapolitan pizzeria serves wood-fired pizzas along with garden-fresh salads and draught root beer floats. The pizzeria is open Tuesdays through Sundays for dinner, and serves lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
