James-Beard Nominated Chef and Local Food Activist Scott Anderson is breaking into the Philadelphia market, bringing his seasonally fared Mistral restaurant to the King of Prussia Mall in early 2017.
Mistral opened its first location in Princeton, NJ in 2013, offering locals and passersby alike a stunning mix of taste, style and atmosphere. Food activists and culinary pioneer’s chef Scott Anderson and chef de cuisine Ben Nerenhausen place a superlative emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, ultimately creating a progressive menu of seasonally curated small plates for guests to savor and share time and again.
Conceptually, Mistral KOP will exude a similar ethos, boasting Michelin-quality chefs, a fast-paced shared plates service model, and fresh contemporary ingredients that produce exceptional flavors. Menu items will differ from Mistral Princeton to reflect the highest quality ingredients Montgomery County’s local farms, aquaculturists and butchers have to offer.
Mistral KOP will feature seating for 111 guests, including an 18-seat bar, and as weather permits, outdoor seating for 48. Mistral’s bar will highlight a full craft cocktail menu, along with a variety of beer, wine and spirits.
“The word Mistral derives from a strong Mediterranean wind that sweeps through, bringing fresh air and clearing weather. We are excited for Mistral KOP to bring that same sense of fresh air to the Montgomery County dining scene.” – Chef Scott Anderson
